We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join a successful Manufacturing Business that provides energy sufficient solutions to their customers. This 12-month fixed-term contract role is integral to supporting the Assistant Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance activities. You will play a key part in ensuring robust financial processes and providing insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare financial reports for Senior Management and support financial reviews by analysing monthly results and investigating variances.
- Conduct Liquidity, Treasury, and Working Capital analysis, including forecasting and reporting.
- Own and manage expense reporting procedures and ensure process compliance.
- Support external audit, statutory accounts, and tax compliance requirements.
- Act as a business partner, collaborating with other functions on ad hoc projects and day-to-day operations.
- Provide support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
- Complete bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations accurately and on time.
- Process journals to ensure month-end completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with external filings and reporting(CSO, Revenue, etc.) and support cashflow requirements.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions and disposals.
- Provide cover for weekly payroll when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across teams.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
