About the Role
A leading company in the energy technology sector is seeking a Financial Accountant
for a 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-performing finance team, supporting core financial operations and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts
- Deliver monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Oversee the monthly billing cycle and perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Review and reconcile company credit card transactions
- Maintain and update accruals and prepayments
- Reconcile intercompany transactions
- Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Liaise with external partners for payroll, staff expenses, and tax filings
- Maintain the group fixed asset register
- Support group cash flow forecasting
- Assist the Head of Finance with financial modelling and annual budgeting
- Prepare annual financial statements and support year-end audit requirements
- Contribute to the design of internal and external presentations for board, lender, and investor audiences
- Support financial and market analysis and ad-hoc finance team tasks
Key Capabilities Required
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CFA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and presentation development
- Energy sector experience is a plus but not essential
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel modelling skills
- Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset
