Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain gaming machines, computer systems, and AV equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electronic and electrical faults, including PCBs, wiring, power supplies, and control boards.
- Perform soldering and component-level repairs on printed circuit boards.
- Work safely and confidently with 230V electrical systems, adhering to all safety standards.
- Troubleshoot software, operating systems, and network connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate service and repair logs for all work carried out.
- Travel regularly (approx. 2 days/week) to the Cork site for on-site support.
- Manage spare parts and ensure critical components are stocked for field repairs.
- Provide clear, friendly technical support to non-technical colleagues
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven hands-on experience in technical repair, electronics servicing, or field engineering.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability across both hardware and software.
- Proficient in soldering and component-level electronic repair.
- Confident and safe when working with mains voltage (230V) and electrical systems.
- Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic networking.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and circuit schematics.
- Full driving licence and access to your own transport.
- Independent, reliable, and able to manage your workload with minimal supervision.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Linux systems(e.g., Debian, Ubuntu).
- Understanding of IP networking, VLANs, and device configuration.
- Experience with single-board computers(Raspberry Pi, Arduino).
- Familiarity with AV systems such as amplifiers, projectors, or displays.
- Basic scripting or programming skills for automation or troubleshooting.
