Facilities Technician
My client a leading global medical technology company are seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. Reporting to the EHS & Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining factory utilities, facilities, and grounds. Including HVAC systems, water systems, clean utilities, and contractor management.
You will oversee systems such as heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, water purification, air filtering and electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical, HVAC, boiler, and BMS systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and facility repairs across mechanical, electrical, fire systems, and building fabric
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely maintenance and calibration
- Manage the CMMS system for all facilities and utilities assets
- Support validation and qualification activities in manufacturing areas
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and GMP standards
Requirements:
- Trade qualification or technical discipline (mechanical/electrical)
- 2+ years’ facilities experience, ideally with HVAC and electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of BMS, boilers, and emergency lighting systems
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and reporting skills
- PC literate with good documentation practices
- Cleanroom experience advantageous but not essential
