Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the engineering team to succeed in their objectives.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Recruit, interview, and hire engineering staff.

Set departmental and individual goals and KPIs aligned with senior management’s strategic plan.

Conduct annual performance reviews and implement personal development plans.

Define training requirements and maintain skills and capability matrices.

Collaborate with Operations Managers to deliver solutions on time, within budget, and to a high standard by assigning appropriate engineers to tasks.

Oversee pre-sales activities and provide technical sign-off for tenders and designs.

Work with the Sales Team to develop and implement solution roadmaps.
-
Hold the engineering team accountable to KPIs, budgets, deadlines, and engineering standards.

Prioritise, delegate, and supervise all engineering activities and deliverables.
-
Develop comprehensive technical documentation.
-
Ensure adherence to ISO policies and best security practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS, IEC 62483).

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and ensure the team maintains relevant knowledge and expertise.
Technical Skills & Experience
-
In-depth understanding of engineering theory and design principles.
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
-
Minimum 10 years’ experience in SCADA/PLC and communication solutions.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
-
Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Knowledge of technologies such as SCADA, HMI, PLC, Microwave, DMR, Wi-Fi, MPLS, GSM, DWDM, and IP Networking.

Experience with Six Sigma, Agile, or Lean methodologies is desirable.

Strong database skills.

Ability to prioritise and delegate effectively.
