Maintenance Electrician – Manufacturing
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join its team in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This is a hands-on role focused on electrical and control systems, with scope to apply mechanical skills across a wide range of automated equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and line modifications on production and plant equipment.

Diagnose and repair faults on compressors, boilers, refrigeration units, motors, PLCs, HMIs, and sensors.

Maintain and update electrical drawings and schematics (AutoCAD).

Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.

Support equipment installations, commissioning, and new product trials.

Participate in improvement projects (WCM/Lean) to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Ensure spares are managed effectively and uphold high safety and housekeeping standards.
Candidate Profile

Electrical trade qualification (or equivalent).
-
Strong knowledge of PLCs, industrial controls, instrumentation, and speed control.

Experience in troubleshooting automated systems.

Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
-
Good communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
-
Mechanical knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, welding) desirable.
