The Role
As a Remote Electrician (Solar Energy Support), you’ll use your electrical expertise to help customers and installers across Ireland with the installation, operation, and maintenance of solar PV systems — all from your home base.
This role is ideal for a qualified electrician with experience or interest in solar energy who enjoys diagnosing issues, supporting clients, and working with advanced renewable technology.
Key Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for solar installations via phone, email, and CRM systems

Guide customers and installers through installation, commissioning, and performance optimisation of solar PV systems

Monitor system performance using specialised software to identify and resolve technical issues

Assist the sales and service teams with technical insights and customer communication

Document all support activities accurately in the company’s CRM system

Escalate complex issues to engineering or advanced support teams when necessary

Ensure compliance with local electrical and safety standards

Contribute to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives
About You
-
Qualified Electrician (Level 6/QQI or equivalent)

2+ years of hands-on electrical experience; experience with solar PV systems an advantage

Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Comfortable with remote technical work and using digital tools

Able to work independently and manage your own schedule

Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus

Willingness to attend occasional training or events in Europe
