About the Role
The EHS Officer will develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) systems across all business operations. Working closely with the operations team, site supervisors, and senior management, you will ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements, and internal standards while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain EHS policies, plans, and procedures to protect employees and property.

Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and inspections, ensuring compliance with all statutory and client standards.

Prepare and manage RAMS, safety files, and incident reports.

Lead investigations into incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions.

Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors.

Continuously monitor and improve safety practices, staying up to date with industry best practice and legislation.

Provide EHS guidance to management and site teams across various project locations.
Requirements

Diploma or degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years’ EHS experience within construction, lifting, or plant operations.

Strong working knowledge of Irish and EU safety regulations, ISO 45001, and environmental standards.

Experience with crane erection/dismantling, hoists, or similar high-risk operations is desirable.

Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and influence a positive safety culture.

Excellent communication, investigation, and reporting skills.

Valid EHS-related certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
