Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an early-career Digital Marketing professional to join a large, fast-paced organisation on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone looking to take ownership, contribute to building a new digital and social media marketing capability, and work across a diverse range of stakeholders.
You’ll be responsible for managing digital channels, developing engaging content, supporting website optimisation, and helping deliver impactful marketing campaigns for a national intercity transport service.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Social Media Management

Plan, develop, and execute digital and social media campaigns focused on audience growth and engagement.

Manage social media channels, including copywriting, scheduling content, and overseeing paid advertising.

Update and maintain the service’s website, ensuring strong UX, SEO performance, and alignment across platforms.

Support digital customer lifecycle management (currently delivered via Bloomreach).

Monitor, track, and report on digital performance metrics and campaign results.
Content Creation

Develop creative, high-quality content such as videos, infographics, e-zines, and social assets.

Assist in the development of brand-appropriate imagery and visual assets.

Analyse website analytics to improve user journeys and overall digital effectiveness.

Conduct research into consumer trends, habits, and content preferences when required.
Stakeholder & Agency Coordination

Work closely with the Marketing Manager and senior stakeholders to support targets relating to revenue, customer satisfaction, and passenger numbers.

Liaise with creative agencies, media agencies, CMS providers, web developers, videographers, and photographers.

Partner with internal teams including Communications, IT, Sales, and Operations to support campaign delivery.

Provide general marketing support across the team where needed.
Experience & Skills Required
-
2–4 years’ experience in digital and social media marketing, ideally within a B2C environment.

Strong track record in content development, digital campaign execution, and channel management.

Experience with website content management, UX optimisation, and Google Analytics.

Proficiency in MS Office and design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Premiere Pro (or equivalents).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style.

Strong customer focus and an understanding of consumer behaviour.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to tight deadlines.

Creative mindset with a solution-focused approach.

Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

A relevant third-level qualification is highly desirable.

Experience with email lifecycle management platforms (e.g., Bloomreach) is an advantage.
