Our client, based in Longford, requires a Design Manager.
Our client is seeking to appoint a Design Manager to join and manage their in-house design team (8) based at their Longford office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence and innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a hands on design job with managment responsibilities.
You will be joining a multi site operation that is continuing to expand.
Your duties will include:
Programme Management:
Create and manage design programmes in line with client contractual agreements.
Tender Collaboration:
Work closely with the estimating team, contributing technical expertise and value engineering at the tender stage.
Manufacturing Coordination:
Partner with the Production Manager (Design office is onsite) to ensure manufacturing requirements are met and processes are optimized.
Client Relations:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts across Ireland.
Project Liaison:
Collaborate with client design teams, external consultants, and site teams to address queries on live projects.
Knowledge and experience required:
Experience:
Modular, timber frame, steel structure, tier 1 contractor or from a large design company. European design and build experience
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in AutoCAD
Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings.
