My client is seeking a customer service candidate to join their team. This role is fully remote but there may be the odd time that you need to visit the office which will be based in Cork City so ideally the candidate will live in or near Cork. This role is an immediate start.
You will serve as the first point of contact for customers, answering questions about products, providing order updates, and assisting with basic sales inquiries. Your professionalism and attention to detail will help ensure every customer enjoys a smooth, positive experience.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online chat
- Provide accurate product information and help customers choose the right solution
- Give real-time updates on order status, lead times, and shipping time lines
- Work closely with the operations and logistics team to resolve any delivery issues
- Follow up on leads and quotes to help close small-to-mid-sized sales
- Keep customer records up to date in our CRM system
- Maintain a helpful, courteous, and solution-oriented tone in all communications
🔹 Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service
- Must be able to travel to the cork office to work (this would be very rare and maybe only 1-2 times)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong phone presence and the ability to build rapport with customers
- Basic computer proficiency
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
- Familiarity with industrial products or e-commerce platforms is a plus
