Corporate and Transactions Associate Director – Dublin / Hybrid

A leading professional services firm is expanding its corporate tax offering and is now seeking an Associate Director to join a growing team within its national tax practice. This is a senior leadership role suited to an experienced tax professional who brings deep technical expertise, strong commercial judgement and the ability to lead complex client assignments.

Role Overview

You will manage a substantial portfolio of clients, advise on complex corporate tax matters and lead the delivery of high-quality solutions across transactions, restructuring, large group taxation and related advisory areas. The role demands a strong understanding of UK and multinational corporate tax matters, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and provide strategic guidance. It also involves leadership, business development and supporting the continued growth of the tax practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as primary relationship lead for senior client stakeholders
• Manage a large portfolio of complex assignments across corporate tax and transactions
• Advise large UK corporates and multinational groups on technical matters such as corporate interest restriction, loss reform and SAO requirements
• Deliver strategic, commercially focused tax advice and identify planning opportunities
• Lead business development initiatives, meet financial targets and contribute to pitching and proposals
• Oversee technical delivery and risk management across assignments
• Produce clear, high-quality technical reports and advisory documents
• Manage and develop a team of managers and junior staff, providing coaching and performance feedback
• Take ownership of budgeting, resource planning and overall financial management of engagements
• Engage actively in firmwide initiatives and build awareness of broader service offerings

Skills and Attributes

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified
• Minimum 7 years’ post-qualification experience in a large practice environment (Big 4/Top 6 preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge and proven ability to resolve complex issues
• Experience advising large UK corporates or multinational groups
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
• Strong team leadership skills and a collaborative mindset
• Demonstrated commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities
• Proactive approach to managing both client needs and internal team performance
