This is a challenging yet rewarding position that offers the opportunity to take ownership of the company’s financial function. You’ll be responsible for preparing management accounts, overseeing statutory compliance, and driving process improvements across departments.
This is full time office based role for a 12-18 month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Monitor departmental revenue performance and cost margins.
- Track and report on KPIs across all departments.
- Liaise with auditors for the preparation of audited accounts.
- Manage all Revenue returns (PAYE, VAT, Intrastat, VIES, etc.).
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory returns and forms.
- Oversee vehicle sales processing and credit control.
- Maintain accuracy in accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage the fixed asset register.
- Collaborate with the Board to implement process improvements and efficiencies.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred; part-qualified candidates with strong experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in a Financial Accountant role.
- Strong analytical and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to support other business areas when needed.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar role within Industry.
- Demonstrated track record in financial administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised with effective time management.
- Team player with people management capabilities.
- Experience in the motor industry is beneficial.
