My client is an established and reputable civil engineering and construction company who is currently seeking an experienced Civils Site Manager to oversee a range of infrastructure and groundworks projects across the Midlands and North Leinster region.
This is a key role for a motivated professional with a strong background in managing on-site operations, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Report to the Project Manager and Senior Management on all aspects of civils project delivery.

Oversee day-to-day site operations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation; identify and communicate any discrepancies or design issues promptly to the design team.

Monitor construction quality, materials, and workmanship, maintaining accurate records within the company’s document control system.

Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and industry best practice.

Assist with the implementation and management of Health & Safety and Quality systems on site, including verification of subcontractor credentials, plant operator tickets, and machinery certifications.

Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site personnel effectively.

Prepare and issue daily and weekly project progress reports, including updates on programme and subcontractor performance.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams as required to ensure smooth project coordination and communication.
Requirements
-
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience with a proven track record delivering complex or logistically challenging civils projects.

Full Irish driving licence required.

Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification essential; additional training such as SLG, LUGS, MSIC, etc., is advantageous.

Experience in traffic and pedestrian management beneficial but not essential.

Proficient IT and administrative skills, including strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
