Are you passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team in Cork, one of Ireland’s most vibrant and welcoming cities.

The Role

As a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will provide clinical leadership and expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties. You will work collaboratively with a skilled team of psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and family therapists to deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment and treatment.

Your work will include:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

  • Clinical leadership and supervision within the multidisciplinary team.

  • Contribution to service development, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Participation in the on-call rota (as applicable).

Requirements

  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) on the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland in Psychiatry(with a recognised sub-specialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry).

  • Significant post-registration experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
