The Opportunity

As Chief Commercial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping growth strategy across Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll lead all revenue-generating functions—sales, marketing alignment, customer success, and partnerships—driving sustainable growth and profitability.
You will be responsible for overseeing and optimising all revenue-generating functions within the utility, renewables, CNI, and government sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive revenue strategies aligned with company goals and market dynamics. Identify new revenue opportunities and innovative approaches to drive growth. Create pricing strategies.
  • Revenue Forecasting: Develop accurate revenue forecasts, financial models, and revenue planning initiatives. Monitor revenue performance, identify revenue gaps, and implement strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Sales Leadership: Provide strategic direction, guidance, and support to optimise sales performance and effectiveness.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts, optimise customer acquisition strategies, and enhance brand visibility and recognition in the market.
  • Customer Experience Optimisation: Champion a customer-centric approach to revenue generation. Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience, improve satisfaction levels, and foster long-term customer relationships.
  • Data Analytics and Insights: Utilise data analytics and market insights to inform revenue strategies, identify trends, and optimise performance. Implement data-driven decision-making processes to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Partnerships and Alliances: Develop strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders, industry partners, and affiliates to expand market reach, drive revenue growth, and enhance B2C offerings.
  • Financial Management: Oversee revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance analysis. Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to track progress against revenue targets and profitability goals.
  • Staff Management:
    • Lead and directly line manage account managers, BDMs, marketing and bid managers.
    • Get directly involved in deals when necessary.
    • Root cause analysis on wins/losses.
    • Manage and report on sales pipeline.
    • Provide input on product direction and strategy as a result of sales performance, root cause analysis, and competitive analysis.
    • Team building.
    • Customer acquisition.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in revenue leadership roles, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing revenue strategies, driving sales growth, and optimising customer acquisition and retention.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Experience in OT and/or SCADA & telemetry is a plus, but not essential.
