Butcher required for West County Cork, who has a passion for butchery, can work on your initiative and work well as part of a team.
Personal Qualities/Experience
- Have a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
- Have good knife skills and knowledge of different meat cuts
- Will have 3+ years’ experience in a butchery/fresh meat environment
- Will have the enthusiasm and a creative flair for working with food
- Will be numerate and understand product costings and margins
- Will be a reliable individual with a positive attitude
- Will have strong interpersonal skills when interacting with customers, suppliers & colleagues
- Will hold a full clean driving licence (desirable but not essential)
- Basic food hygiene knowledge
- Take pride in your appearance.
- Ability to work in a tidy and safe manner
- Ability to manage workloads and work to deadlines

Responsibilities
- Drive a strong team culture of trust and commitment as an experienced member of the team.
- Ensure that all HACCP and food safety policies & procedures are adhered to, to ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
- Keep the customer at the heart of everything.
- Ensure all products are prepared according to recipe and merchandised to company standards.
- Assist the Head Butcher/Manager with daily planning and production of meat products for display
- Assist the team in planning promotions and creating food displays for social media content
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Stock rotation and ordering.
Hours: 5 days over 6. Off every Sunday
