My client, a leading HGV Dealer and Service Centre, is in need of a Bodyshop Manager to come in a lead a highly skilled team in their centre based in Naas, Co. Kildare.

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for quality workmanship, exceptional organisation, and team development? My client is looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead their high-performing team within a busy HGV dealership and service facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Bodyshop, including repair and paint teams.
  • Schedule, delegate, and oversee repair, prep, and paint work – ensuring high quality and efficiency.
  • Project manage new and used vehicle sales prep, ensuring all customisation/specification work is delivered on time.
  • Monitor vehicle flow using the Bodyshop planner to maintain a full and efficient workload pipeline.
  • Drive sales growth through customer relationships and targeted marketing of services.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards and communicate clearly with the sales team on vehicle status.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, legal, and environmental standards.
  • Manage financials including budgeting, estimating, invoicing, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Order parts, manage inventory, and maintain equipment to ensure continued workshop productivity.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members – identifying training needs and monitoring performance.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a Bodyshop or Workshop Manager role (HGV/Commercial vehicle experience highly preferred).
  • At least 10 years' post-apprenticeship experience in vehicle repair and refinishing.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills – able to motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable.
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle repair processes, parts ordering, and quality control.
  • High attention to detail with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
  • Confident using workshop software systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • HGV and PSV licenses are an advantage but not essential.
