Automation Engineer – Midlands (Laois)
New role with a leading Midlands manufacturer in operation for 60+ years. Specialising in rotary vane pumps and motor packages, this company is expanding and looking for an Automation Engineer to join their Laois site.
What You’ll Do
- Support and optimise daily manufacturing operations.
- Deliver automation projects to boost performance.
- Design, commission & validate new/upgrade equipment.
- Develop SOPs, training tools & technical documentation.
- Partner with Product Development on quality & NPI.
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years’ experience in automation within manufacturing.
- Engineering degree (Automation, Mechanical, or similar).
- PLC programming, CAD & solid modelling skills.
- Knowledge of ERP (SAP/Windchill) & manufacturing standards.
- Strong problem-solving & continuous improvement mindset.
