We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business.
You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems that drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.

What You’ll Be Doing;

Designing and delivering automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes

Programming, testing, and validating PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and control systems

Working with project teams to integrate automation into new and existing equipment

Supporting Maintenance and Production teams with troubleshooting and fault finding

Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards

Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures for automated systems

Driving continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing machine performance

Providing training and technical support to site personnel
-
Occasional travel to company and OEM sites to support project delivery
What We’re Looking For;

Degree (or equivalent apprenticeship) in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline

5+ years’ experience in automation engineering, ideally within manufacturing
-
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial networks

Experience with robotics, vision systems, or advanced automation (desirable)

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD knowledge an advantage

Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team
