My client is a well-established engineering consultancy, and is seeking to hire a Civil Engineering Technician
to support their growing workload. This full-time position is based in their Cork office
and is suited to candidates with 2 to 10 years of relevant experience.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative team working on a diverse mix of projects including residential, commercial, retail, hotel, educational, and industrial developments.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare technical drawings and documentation for planning, tender, and construction stages

Develop detailed civil and structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
-
Lead the drafting of residential site development plans (projects ranging from 50 to 500 units)

Produce drainage and utility layouts including:
-
Stormwater and foul sewer systems
-
Watermain layouts
-
Bulk earthworks and level designs
-
Roads, signage, and traffic calming features (DMURS compliance)
-
Work closely with engineers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects

Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
Requirements:

2–10 years’ experience in a similar role within civil or structural engineering

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

Strong understanding of Irish planning and development standards

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team
