The Assistant Production Manager Job
As Assistant Production Manager, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role, driving efficiency, supporting your team’s development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You will:
- Lead and motivate production teams across shifts for smooth daily operations
- Support the Production Manager in hitting key KPIs
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Develop team capability through coaching and training
- Champion food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards
- Resolve day-to-day staff issues and escalate where necessary
- Contribute to production planning, audits, and cross-functional projects
- Monitor productivity and drive engagement initiatives
What You Bring
- Supervisory experience in manufacturing (Food/FMCG preferred)
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams
- Strong understanding of production processes and factory operations
- Track record in delivering process improvements
- Hands-on, adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment
