Our client based in North Tipperary are currently seeking to recruit for an PQ Accountant / Accounts Manager to join their team on a Hybrid basis Reporting directly to the Managing Director and overseeing a small team you will have the following responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Maintaining entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.
- Monthly Management Accounts: Preparing accounts, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis (actual vs target), and KPIs like debtors, creditors, and stock.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Supporting preparation of budgets and forecasts, and assisting with scenario planning—such as capacity or spend adjustments.
- Report Validation: Reviewing dashboards, KPI reports, and ensuring report output accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Overseeing the daily activities of the accounts assistants
- Credit Control & AR: Ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Quote & Pricing Updates: Keeping our pricing records current.
- Systems & Process Improvement: Supporting systems implementation and recommending enhancements.
- External Liaison: Collaborating with external accountants for year‑end statements.
- Internal Register Maintenance: Managing fixed asset logs, supplier contracts, rebates, and more.
Skills & Attributes
- Part‑Qualified Accountant, ideally through CIMA, or with similar experience.
- Has strong Excel skills, especially with large datasets.
- Is comfortable using accounting systems—QuickBooks preferred, but others are welcome.
- Is naturally curious, eager to understand how our business operates, and proactive in finding process improvements.
- Communicates clearly, works methodically, and partners well across the team.
