Our client based in Blanchardstown, Dublin are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant for a full time Hybrid 12 month contract position. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
Treasury management
- Monitor bank balances and cash requirements
- Reconcile bank accounts in Netsuite
- Assist in the preparation of reports for group cash flow
Accounts Payable
- Review all supplier invoices in Netsuite, while ensuring that all invoices are accurately accounted for and appropriately approved
- Verify and reconcile supplier accounts in Netsuite to supplier statements
- Prepare supplier payment runs
- Manage monthly cash employee expenses and company credit cards
Reporting
- Preparation and review of monthly revenue recognition entries
- Perform a timely month-end close within agreed deadlines
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and liaising with the Finance Manager to resolve any queries
- Assist the finance manager with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packs
Requirements:
- A qualification in Accounting & Finance or a related field (or progression towards qualification)
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in an Assistant Financial Accountant or equivalent role
- Previous intercompany transaction experience
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables)
- Experience with Netsuite or an equivalent ERP system
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- A preference for a high-intensity, high-energy work environment
