On behalf of our client— a locally owned tyre-fitting and emergency breakdown call-out service in North Cork — I am currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused Administrator. The Administrator will be the first point of contact for both telephone enquiries and in-person visitors, managing the day-to-day office administration. Responsibilities will include scheduling and coordinating mobile breakdown callouts, maintaining accurate records in the company’s in-house system, issuing and tracking invoices, and providing friendly, professional support to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Telephone & Front-of-House
- Answer incoming calls and welcome customers in person
- Schedule callouts for our mobile breakdown teams
- Invoicing & Administration
- Generate and issue invoices via the in-house system
- Maintain accurate records of jobs, customer details and payments
- Team Liaison
- Communicate job details to the breakdown team in the field
- Monitor progress and update customers as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with North Cork roads and towns will help you coordinate call-outs efficiently.
- Customer-Focused: Friendly, confident telephone manner; able to put customers at ease.
- Tech-Comfortable: Quick to learn and use a bespoke in-house scheduling and invoicing system—full training provided.
- Self-Starter: You’ll be the sole administrator on the retail side (working alongside the Shop Manager), so strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload are essential.
- Experience (Desirable, Not Essential): Background in tyre fitting or automotive services—though we appreciate this is a niche field, enthusiasm and aptitude matter most.
Schedule
- Full-time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 – 18:00 (one weekday off, rota’d)
- Saturday: 9:00 – 16:00
Pay: €15 per hour (hourly rate)
