Our client based just outside Cavan town are seeking to recruit an Accounts Technician /Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is a permanent role with the option to work either full time or Part time depending on your requirements. This is a standalone position, and you work closely with a third-party Accounting Practice and senior management.
Reporting directly to the Managing director, you will have the following responsibilities,
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain company accounts to trial balance
- Manage invoicing and transaction processing using Sage
- Support cash flow management and assist in financial planning
- Process monthly payroll
- Collaborate with the external accountant for month-end and year-end procedures
- Perform general office administration and document management duties
- Ensure financial compliance and record-keeping are accurate and up to date
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
- Proficient in Sage Accounting Software
- Multicurrency experience advantage (GBP)
- Strong attention to detail and highly organised
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
