We are partnering with a well -known Organisation that plays a key role in providing a variety of services and supports to a vast amount of individuals with an intellectual disability or autism and also support for their families.
We are recruiting a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to join their Finance Department. This role is vital to the smooth operation of financial processes, with responsibilities spanning Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Staff Expenses, and Cash & Bank management.
This is an initial 6 month contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Administer supplier payments and manage invoice queries via phone and email
- Process monthly travel expenses for staff
- Maintain accurate filing of supplier and staff expense records
- Meet month-end deadlines and reconcile the Creditors Ledger
- Prepare Accounts Payable & Receivable reports as required
- Record all income and reconcile the Debtors Ledger
- Ensure timely month-end processing
Staff Expenses
- Manage travel and reimbursement claims with accuracy and compliance
- Generate Staff Expenses reports as needed
Cash & Bank
- Administer petty cash and reimbursements
- Process bank transactions and prepare reconciliations
- Maintain bank accounts and registers
- Produce Cash & Bank reports as required
Additional Duties
- Support internal and external audits
- Assist the Head of Finance, Financial Accountant, and Finance Officer with ad hoc projects and finance tasks
Requirements:
- Level 6 Qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field desirable
- Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
