Our client based close to Enniscorthy in Wexford are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant / Accounting Technician to join their business. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible for the financial function of the business, managing the core accounting processes including Payroll, Accounts Payable & Receivable.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Payroll – process and execute weekly payroll for all staff, ensuring accurate calculation of hours, deductions, and tax compliance including pensions.
  • VAT Returns
  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices
  • Manage customer invoices, reconcile payments and manage debtor ledger to ensure efficient cash flow
  • Ensure all financial transactions, records and files are maintained and up to date
  • Financial reporting, preparation of weekly, monthly and year end reports.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in a dedicated accounts or bookkeeping role.
  • Demonstrable experience processing payroll/weekly wages and completing VAT returns.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is a pre-requisite.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
