SeaChange Case Study

Our client SeaChange, a highly successful family run consultancy business exclusively partnered with FRS Recruitment in September 2019 to assist in the delivery of their strategic three-year plan, which included a goal to more than double their headcount.


SeaChange is a Behavioural Health & Safety Consultancy firm, based in Naas and employs 25 expert staff that design and implement bespoke risk management solutions to help organisations more easily and consistently meet and exceed Health & Safety standards, through their people.

The Challenge

SeaChange work in a niche sector and will only consider suitably qualified and industry experienced employees with creative and innovative mindsets, to ensure SeaChange can provide the best service possible to the customers they work so closely with. Typical skillsets required included Qualified Health & Safety Experts and Software Developers which are highly sought after in the Irish market. Keeping costs manageable and growing a team from 25 to 50 over a couple of years, in this highly competitive market, where Multinationals compete with big hiring budgets and big employer brands, would be the biggest challenge.

Goals to be achieved

FRS Recruitment were required to appoint a highly experienced recruitment manager that could lead and draw from our nationwide team across 10 offices to source talent across multiple locations. 

The key to filling these roles was to have a series of onsite meetings with SeaChange to truly understand their environment and culture. A partnership built on transparency and trust.

From September 2019 to December 2019 FRS would need to hire the first 5 Consultants to drive the SeaChange business across certain locations to unlock business growth.

An extensive recruitment marketing campaign was developed and the sourcing strategy included a targeted social media campaign across Facebook and LinkedIn, digging deep into FRS Recruitment’s extensive networks and talent pools, database, LinkedIn searching and an advertising campaign on all major job boards.

The Results

  • The first 5 roles have been filled with high quality candidates by FRS Recruitment. 100% Fill Rate
  • Average recruitment time has been reduced from 90+ days to 30 days (to offer stage)
  • Due to the exclusivity agreement with FRS Recruitment, the savings on recruitment agency fees in the first few months alone were over €5,000
  • Outsourcing the recruitment to FRS Recruitment, meant extensive time was saved by the management team, allowing them to refocus on winning and managing new business
