Our client Animal Health Vision (AHV) is a market leading Biotechnology business in the Animal Health sector with an international presence of up to 20 countries across Europe and America. FRS Recruitment are proud business partners of AHV having watched them grow in strength since their entry into the Irish Market in 2020.

Context

AHV is the industry leader in quorum sensing powered animal solutions and value-added services. Their head office in Ireland is in Portlaoise, Co. Laois and they have grown their team to 25 staff since entering the market in 2020. As part of their strategic growth plan, they will grow their team by a further 25% in 2021.

The Challenge

The role of Agri Sales Consultants with AHV requires multiple technical skillsets combining, dairy, animal husbandry and commercial acumen. Furthermore, one of the primary roles of this post is educating farmers, providing a consultative approach which requires excellent people skills and the ability to build rapport while nurturing long lasting relationships. Bringing a new product to market which requires direct B2C selling can be a challenge in itself - particularly in the Agri Sector where lies strong competition for attracting suitable talent.

The Goals

In year one, FRS Recruitment were tasked to assist AHV in growing their team by 25 staff including office support, sales consultants, and leadership roles. In year two, FRS Recruitment will provide support in growing the team by a further 25% and taking on a Veterinary Technical Advisor.

The Result

FRS worked closely with AHV Managing Director (NI & ROI) Adam Robinson to kickstart their recruitment drive in the Republic of Ireland. A combination of both direct advertising by AHV and through the FRS Network, helped in achieving the goal of 25 staff in year one. FRS assisted in 7 direct placements in 2020 and continuing to focus on the 2021 strategy of growing the team by a further 25%.
