Career Zoo attendees came from all over Ireland however, it became apparent that many attendees who were currently living in Dublin are now searching for jobs outside of Dublin due to the high costs of living.
As the demand for jobs begins to grow in the west of Ireland, we were delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our broad range of jobs we have to offer in support, development, quality assurance, business analyst and project managers with clients who range from global multinationals to small and innovative local start-ups. Along with our FRS med device team recruiting for medical device nationwide including companies in Galway such as Medtronic, Creggana Medical, Integer & Merit Medical.
FRS General Manager Colin Donnery joined a discussion panel with Pete Gallagher from Boston Scientific, Michael Gallagher from Abbvie and Michelle Hand from PPD where they spoke about the trends in Biopharma and medtech, the opportunities available in the west of Ireland, the importance of attracting the right talent and keeping it in Ireland, work permits and company culture. The presentation was inspired by the fact it was mental health awareness week with an emphasis of ensuring happiness in the work place.
